Kelly Motsinger

Kelly has a BA in Middle Grades Education from UNC-Chapel Hill and taught in the public school system for 5 years. She and her husband, Chad, along with their two sons, Cooper and Carter, live in Pilot Mountain, NC.

Kelly began working in the school travel business in 2005 with her father, Doug, and has been working with schools all across North Carolina ever since. She enjoys traveling (of course!), sports, gardening, and spending time with her family.

Beverly Magness
Tour Planner and Director

Beverly is a retired middle school teacher. She began working for Pilot Tours more than 10 years ago as an escort and truly loves what she does. Beverly enjoys learning about the places we visit and wants to pass on her enthusiasm for learning to the students. She believes that she is still teaching, and it is only her classroom that has changed!

Pam Simpson
Tour Planner

Pam Simpson is a retired educator from the Guilford County School System. She was a teacher, a Curriculum Facilitator, a Literacy Curriculum Specialist and retired as a high school assistant principal. As a teacher, Pam planned and carried out many trips to Washington, DC and Williamsburg for 5th graders. She always relates the things students see and do to the curriculum they are studying. She enjoys outdoor activities, especially golfing and walking. She likes to read historical novels and watch old movies. Watts Parrish
Tour Director

Watts is a retired customer service and sales manager. He has been a Tour Director with Pilot Tours since 2011. He has served in many volunteer positions within schools including PTA President and Athletic Booster Club President. He has two children and three grandchildren. He enjoys people and traveling with students. Most of all he likes helping them learn about the areas visited.

Sandy White
Tour Director

Sandy is a retired social studies teacher and she really enjoys traveling. As a teacher, she took students to Washington, DC on numerous occasions and she even took a group to Europe once. She loves watching students learn about our country's heritage. This will be Sandy's third year escorting for Pilot Educational Tours.
